Zoe Saldana travels back to the Harlem Renaissance in this 2009 Vanity Fair photoshoot! WHEW, THAT WOMAN…….!!!!!!!

Aaron Douglas (May 26, 1899 – February 3, 1979) was an African American painter and a major figure in the Harlem Renaissance. He founded the Art Department at Fisk University and taught for 27 years. I love his work! He was such an interpreter of the African American experience It was so cool to see his original paintings at Fisk University. Whenever you are in Nashville, drop by Fisk!
